Lewis Cantley is widely recognized for his seminal discoveries in signaling and metabolism, particularly the identification of PI3 kinase and its role in cellular transformation, which has significantly impacted cancer cell biology. After serving as Director of the Meyer Cancer Center at Weill Cornell, he rejoined the Department of Cell Biology at Harvard Medical School and the DFCI-Cancer Cell Biology in 2022.
